ITShare SA Inc. refurbishes discarded or donated computer parts and peripherals. Our team of volunteers accept donations of computers from businesses, institutions and individuals.

The hard drives are wiped using Darik’s Boot and Nuke (DBAN) Then we process them to make accessible, unencumbered open source systems, with the Linux operating system Ubuntu.

For a minimal fee these computers are then made available to low income groups, individuals and communities. Desktop computer systems are available from $40 to $70 (for Core 2 Duo system ), now with a 17 inch monitor, keyboard and mouse.
Core i3 or i5 systems are available from $100 to about $180 with a 19 inch monitor, keyboard and mouse, the box only for $20 less. We sometimes also have laptops available from $70 to about $150, and if interested please ring first.

Also through joint projects with other agencies, we have been able to send systems to overseas communities in need.

ITShare is open 9am to 4pm Mondays and Tuesdays except for Public Holidays. Our last day for 2016 is Tuesday December 20th. After the Christmas/New Year break we are opening again on Monday 9th January 2017.
