How Do I Apply

Eligibility requirements apply, so please read the Recipient information

Contact ITShare to arrange an appointment date/time to choose a computer, pay the fee, show evidence of eligibility and pickup a computer. Please bring your concession card or other suitable paperwork as in the eligibility requirements.

Open Mondays & Tuesdays 9am to 3pm (except Public Holidays)

Available to low income groups, individuals, students and communities. For partner organisations sending overseas, we focus on the Asia-Pacific region.

Desktop

Intel Core i5 4th or Core i7 3rd generation  – $40 per system. With a 19 inch monitor included, Linux Mint operating system installed, with 8GB RAM, 250Gb Hard Drive, DVD drive, keyboard and mouse.

Various other Intel Core i3, Core i5 and i7 desktops and a few AMDs are also be available. POA.

Laptop

We do not have many laptops, but you can ring us to find what we do have in stock.

All transactions are Cash Only. We have looked into getting an ETPOS machine but it would be very expensive for our small number of sales. Note also – No cash is kept at the premises overnight.

Computer equipment may have scratches and other minor imperfections which do not affect the operation of the equipment.

A 6 month warranty applies to hardware, but damage not caused by fair wear and tear will not be included.
Batteries such as in laptops come as they are, and no warranty applies to batteries.

Proof of eligibility such as a Centrelink card needs to be sighted.

It is recommended to undergo a brief overview session on collection of the system, to become familiar with the basics of using the Linux Mint system.
